Our special projects section has tended to focus on some of the amazing books we’ve had the pleasure of designing, printing and binding. It’s difficult sometimes, as Royal Warrant bookbinders with over 100 years experience and the finest artisan craftsman, not to be so proud of the books we are asked to produce that we forget to spotlight some of the other areas we’re rather good at! We were honoured to be asked to produce a special presentation for James Purdey & Sons, celebrating their shotgun, the US Centenary Gun. Our team were tasked with producing assorted prints on parchment paper, presented in custom chemise folders and housed in a matching bespoke clamshell boxes.

Sometimes, we are very lucky to work in unison with publishers on titles that inspire and fascinate. That was truly the case with Letters From Titanic by George Behe, produced by the amazing folks at The History Press.
It was our pleasure to put together these wonderful photobooks for the fantastic folk at Team England. These books, produced as gifts for staff at Team England, featured stunning red leather covers handcrafted by our binders, and beautiful custom gold foiling to compliment the amazing photography taken at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022…
We thought we’d treat you all to an amazing look at a project that our Senior Binder & Restorer Piotr Sakowicz recently created, a great example of bookbinding at its finest, and the production process involved in creating the bookcase to compliment it.
We are very honoured to produce some amazing special commissions for institutions and individuals, a wonderful example of this was a special set of The Cambridge Greek Lexicon, a dictionary of the Ancient Greek language. Our team was tasked with producing a bespoke edition of 2 volumes, plus a custom slip case to house the titles.
Sometimes we are lucky enough to work hand-in-hand with authors on their books from start to finish. Our creative team have vast experience in book design and thrive at enhancing and immersing themselves in the written word. Working with the wonderful Clive Williams on his latest title ‘The Cravens’ was a great example of this..
