Working with Pallas Athene, it was our pleasure to print, bind and box this beautiful full-size facsimile of John Ruskin’s Flora of Chamonix - his as yet unpublished book of pressed plants with notes, collected and compiled during 1844 from the mountains and forests around Chamonix, France.
Complemented by matching slip cases, this historically important reproduction of pressed plants is accompanied by a second volume of notes and commentary from Professors David Ingram and Stephen Wildman.
The slipcases were produced in “Kingfisher” Wibalin Buckram via Winter & Company, with complimentary azure covers.
The books feature custom covers, produced in unison with the wonderful folk at Metallic Elephant and stunning silvers via the masters at Foilco. beautiful printed endpapers begin and end this incredible edition.
