However complex recreating a book might seem, there is little that we can’t produce. As one client said, “it’s like watching magicians at work!” Our team certainly worked their magic on recreating this book..
As with many recreations, the brief starts with our creative team putting their skills to use. Referencing the original book, new spine and cover blocks are carefully crafted as vector files in Adobe Illustrator. These include separate plates for debossing on the covers, as well as for the hand crafted foiling that will follow. To check that the format and alignment look correct, mock ups are also produced in Photoshop . The additional bonus of these is that they give a rough idea of how the stunning green leather and gold foil will look too.

Once the artwork is approved, it’s time for our master bookbinders to work their magic.
As well as binding, foiling and debossing this title, our chaps also create beautiful new painted edges on this very special edition. featuring flecks of gold and green, in anticipation to perfectly complimenting the incredible new cover.
New printed endpapers are added to the front and back of the book, before our fine binding teams artisan skills are deployed to perfectly position the debossing and stunning gold foil.
