MATERIAL COSTS
We in the printing and binding trade spend much of our time discussing price reductions and discounts with our paper and board suppliers so we can give you the best prices whilst taking the most meagre of profit margins!
It is therefore with reluctance we have to advise you of increases of between 7% and 10% from 8th March for paper and board which will impact our own prices a little.
The reasons being given are the increasing costs of production, raw materials and transport.
In addition we are also advised that due to new EU customs procedures cover materials can be delayed and we have to get our orders in by 10.00am on Wednesdays to receive a week later!
AND there is a shipping crisis from Asia to Europe which may mean significant delays and potential increased costs to obtain containers!
We have even had our box orders delayed because of Amazons on going demand for packaging!
Crazy times we live in and we are monitoring these issues carefully.

We are also hearing similar issues from some book publishers in that costs have risen and service has slowed.
